to HUD's Continuum of Care annual
competition for homeless assistance

implementing new or expanded
programs while preserving effective
existing programs.
Housing Works
Housing Works is a
minority-controlled,
community-based, not-for-profit
corporation providing housing,
health care, advocacy, job training,
and vital supportive services to
homeless New Yorkers living with HIV
and AIDS.
Bailey House,
Inc.
Bailey House, the second oldest AIDS
organization in New York City, was
founded as the AIDS Resource Center
in 1983. The organization's purpose
was to find emergency housing for
people with AIDS (PWAs) who were
being evicted or discharged from
hospitals without anywhere to go.
AIDS Housing
of Washington (AHW)
AIDS Housing of Washington (AHW) was
founded in 1988 expressly to develop
the 35-bed Bailey-Boushay House, the
nation's first newly constructed
skilled nursing facility and day
health program designed to serve
people living with HIV/AIDS. Since
that time, AHW has expanded its
activities to include the provision
of technical assistance to AIDS
service and housing organizations
all over the country, in addition to
developing HIV/AIDS housing locally.
The mission of AIDS Housing of
Washington is to increase the
quantity and quality of housing for
people living with HIV/AIDS in the
United States.
National AIDS
Housing Coalition ( NAHC )
The mission of NAHC is to advance
the creation, development,
management, and growth of housing
for persons living with HIV/AIDS in
our communities.
National
Alliance to End Homelessness ( NAEH
)
The NAEH is a nonpartisan, nonprofit
organization whose mission is to
mobilize the nonprofit, public and
private sectors of society in an
alliance to end homelessness.
Guiding our work is the Ten Year
Plan to End Homelessness. The Ten
Year Plan identifies our nation's
current weaknesses in addressing the
problem and lays out practical steps
that our nation can take to change
our present course and truly end
homelessness within ten years. The
NAEH firmly believes that no
American should be homeless.
