Overview of Programs

Gregory House Programs has developed and now operates seven housing programs. Over 200 individuals and families receive support each month through these programs, ranging from one-time grants and short-term assistance to permanent housing. The agency's seven programs include:

1. Gregory House: The agency's first transitional shelter on Oahu (but available to eligible persons statewide) with 11 beds that has served more than 300 persons since it opened in 1988. For more information about Gregory House please contact sue@gregoryhouse.org or jeff@gregoryhouse.org

2. Temporary Shelter Program: Provides emergency shelter statewide to homeless persons for a maximum of two weeks. For more information about the Temporary Shelter Program please contact ruth@gregoryhouse.org

3. Emergency Assistance Program: A statewide emergency grant program, providing one-time per year grants for rent, deposit or utilities to persons imminently at risk of homelessness. For more information about the Emergency Assistance Program please contact ruth@gregoryhouse.org

4. Scattered-Sites Program: Provides permanent rental assistance to 40 households on Oahu per month. Gregory House and the Scattered-Site program have been designated as a Special Project of National Significance by the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). 5. Rent Subsidy Program: A statewide, temporary rental assistance program that serves approximately 90 individuals and families each month. For more information about the Rent Subsidy Program please contact dana@gregoryhouse.org

6. Shelter Plus Care Program: Provides permanent rental assistance and supportive services to approximately 33 disabled households of formerly homeless individuals and families per month on Oahu. For more information about the Shelter Plus Care Program please contact dana@gregoryhouse.org
